parmesan cheese
1 egg, beaten

pre-heat oven to 200c/400F/gas 6
on a lightly floured surface, roll out the pastry to roughly half a
centimetre ~ brush with beaten egg ~ sprinkle with grated
parmesan & press into the pastry using your fingers ~ cut the
square into 1cm strips ~ holding both ends of the strip, twist
round & round & lay them on a baking tray ~ bake in pre-heated
oven for 8-10 minutes or until the twists are puffed & golden
